Minimum kit list

Dragoon

  • Hat
  • Shirt and cravat
  • Uniform, coat, waistcoat, britches
  • Gaiters
  • Boots
    (If initially only serving on foot, boots are not necessary)
  • Musket,  Indian made or Pedersoli
  • You will need a shotgun certificate and black powder licence.
  • Bayonet and Scabbard
  • Waistbelt
  • Shoulder belt and pouch
  • Musket sling
  • Sword and scabbard
    (Any basket hilted, straight bladed sword will suffice initially and may be available to borrow)
  • Shoes

Additional kit to be acquired as wished and at leisure

  • Buff gauntlets  (if riding)
  • Knee pieces (if riding)
  • Cloak
  • Haversack
  • Tin mug and plate, cutlery
  • Authentic shoes
  • Authentic cleaning kit
  • Iron grey stockings
